The Chanchamayo province is in the northern region of Junin in central Peru, famous for citrus production and quality coffee growing. Chanchamayo Valley produces 40% of Peru’s total coffee crop. Smallholder farms produce nearly all of the coffee, which is shade grown at high altitudes. Coinca Dry Mill is responsible for sourcing, milling and exporting coffees from throughout the country, including this Santa Ana lot. Their main offices are located in Lima, while the dry mill and central cupping facility is located just outside Jaén. Coinca offers coffee in all shapes and sizes, while more recently also providing access to high quality single producer micro-lots.
